SCSI ID 7 for virtual disks

I’ll get back to posting workflows soon I hope, but for now, here is another thing I learned yesterday.

I have a workflow that deploys virtual machines and it allows the user to pass in a list of harddisks they want. Yesterday someone asked for a whole bunch of disks and it turns out that you can’t have a scsi harddisk at id 0:7, you have to move to 0:8. Ooops…

Please note that you also have to cover going to the next scsi controller once you go over 15, but that is not shows in the code above.

Bottom line is this, even if you test everything you can think of someone you will miss something…
